Information: Greetings, my name is Stephanie Snead.
My experience (and preparation) as a Pre-school Teacher began at home. Over 20 years ago, when my youngest 3 (of 4) sons were all pre-school age, financially it became more beneficial for me to become a stay-at-home mother.
Once I was at home full-time I decided to become a licensed Family Daycare provider. Even in my youth I knew my gift was caring for children. I maintained “Ms. Stephanie’s Daycare” for 11 years and then went to work at “Progressive Creative Childcare Center” as a Lead Teacher for the 3 and 4 year olds.
After that position I worked in the Rochester City School District as a House Office secretary. Interacting with the students and encouraging them to do their best was what I enjoyed most about this position. Through that position I met my current employer, I have been providing Nanny services for her for the last 5 years. Interacting with the staff at NCA for the last 3 years has allowed me to develop a respect for the quality of the curriculum at the school. I took it upon myself to implement the same kind of class-work in the home of my Nanny children. My abilities were recognized by the staff at NCA and I was offered the position of Lead Teacher for the 3 year olds. I gladly accepted.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 25 years and are the parents of 4 adult sons, and 2 grandchildren.
I’ve always believed that children learn at their own pace, but I also believe that with patience and encouragement children can adjust to the pace of a class and surprise themselves with what they are able to accomplish.
I look forward to working with you as partners in developing the minds of our future.
